Thank you, Melissa, I loved the pictures from your walks; they remind me so much of ones I had from my own (now too many) years ago in rural Manitoba.
And once again, continuing with our earlier analogy from previous conversations, it's just stacking one good shift on top of the last one, and learning the lessons from the ones that didn't go so well, so that in the end you can always take away a positive balance.
Ah! I'm glad it made you think of Manitoba. It's not all that different from Ohio, and definitely more similar to my home state of Michigan. Thanks for sticking around while I explore these topics of shift and lessons learned.
But I'm not just sticking around. I plan to talk to you sometime in the next couple of months about helping me promote my first novel (which will come out one way or another) the right way, especially here on Substack, part of which will doubtless be creating my own Substack.
Excellent suggestions. We’re all seeking the way to live our best life and there are so many thoughts telling us how that it can be confusing. Your shared experience emphasizes fundamentals we might miss.
Thanks, Lynn. You are so right. There can be so much noise telling us "do this! do that!". It gets overwhelming. I think at its core if we can just narrow down to what do we want to do and how do we do it, we can live a life we are proud of at the end of the day. :) Thanks for being so supportive.

My pleasure. I really enjoy your posts.

The habits that stuck for me weren't the best ones - they were the easiest ones to repeat without thinking.
So true! He does highlight in the book that there can be good habits and bad habits. It's awareness of what they are that can help bring change.
